Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
The short version: we collect what’s needed to connect employers with candidates. Your video goes only to the employer you apply to, effects like background blur happen on your own device, and we never sell your information.
1. Who we are
1MinuteResume.com (“1MinuteResume”, “we”, “us”) is operated by us from 7986 Sandel Wood Cir W, Ft. Myers, FL 33908. We run a hiring website where employers post jobs with screening questions and candidates answer them in a single 60-second video.
This policy explains what information we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and the emails we send.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number (optional), password, and whether you are an employer or a candidate. Employers also give their company name and size. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from them.
- Job postings (employers): job titles, descriptions, locations, pay, screening questions, must-have requirements, deadlines and the email address that should receive applications.
- Applications (candidates): the name and email on your application, your answers to an employer’s must-have requirements, your recorded video (including your image and voice), and any résumé file you choose to attach.
- Messages between employers and candidates: the text of messages sent through 1MinuteResume about an application, and when they were sent and read.
- Applicant status (employers): whether an employer has marked an applicant as shortlisted or not selected. Only that employer sees it.
- Messages to us: anything you send us when you contact us.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in cookies that keep you logged in (see section 7).
- Technical information our service providers record when you use the site, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. We use it to run, secure and fix the service.
- Application activity, such as when an application was started or submitted and how many recording attempts were used, so we can apply each employer’s rules.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not use third-party analytics on our pages.
3. Your video, camera and microphone
- We only turn on your camera and microphone when you are on the recording page and your browser has asked for your permission. You can withdraw that permission in your browser at any time.
- Each recording is limited to 60 seconds. You can re-record if the employer allows more than one attempt, and you choose which take to send.
- Only the take you submit is shared with the employer. Takes you don’t submit, and applications you start but never send, are not shown to employers.
- Background effects run on your own device. If you choose a background or blur, your browser separates you from your surroundings locally, as you record. This does not create a facial-recognition template or any other biometric identifier, and nothing from this process is sent to us other than the finished video.
- We do not use artificial intelligence or automated tools to analyze, score or rank your video, your face or your voice. Employers watch and evaluate videos themselves.
4. How we use information
- To create and manage your account and keep it secure.
- To publish employers’ jobs and deliver candidates’ applications to the employer they applied to.
- To deliver messages between employers and candidates, and email you when you have a new one.
- To send service emails, such as account confirmation, password resets, application receipts and new-application alerts.
- To enforce each job’s rules (for example, the number of recording attempts) and our Terms of Service.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to troubleshoot and improve the service.
- To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.
7. How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is open. We keep job postings and applications, including videos and résumés, for as long as needed to provide the service to the employer and candidate involved, or until deletion is requested.
When you delete information or close your account, we delete it from our active systems within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent abuse. Copies an employer has already downloaded are outside our control.
8. Security
Information is encrypted in transit. Videos and résumés are stored in private storage that is not publicly accessible. Each time someone with permission watches a video, we create a viewing link that expires after a few minutes. Database rules limit each account to its own information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you as required by law.
9. Your choices and rights
- Access and correct: you can ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it. Employers can edit their job postings at any time.
- Delete: you can ask us to delete your account, an application or a video.
- Emails: employers can change or turn off new-application alerts in each job’s settings. Message emails are sent at most once every 15 minutes while a conversation is unread. Service emails you need to use your account, such as password resets, can’t be turned off.
Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, email sales@1minuteresume.com. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
10. Children
You must be at least 16 years old to use 1MinuteResume. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Where information is processed
We are based in the United States and store and process information in the United States. If you use the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant we will tell you by email or on the site before they take effect.
